SHORTER DAYS ARE COMING!
But it’s all about balance right? Shorter days, longer nights, cooler temperatures….a bit of a bummer but also an opportunity to hunker down, prepare for the colder months and take care of yourSELF! Without the dark, there is no light so lets embrace the shorter days and get cozy! And the beauty of the trees going through their hibernation cycle is unmatched!
September FLEW by for me. Did it for you as well? I had not one but TWO illnesses of some sort last month. One which had me lose my voice for 7 straight days. That was a first! The second seemed like a head cold but who knows these days. I know a lot goes around this time of year, but that’s enough sickness for me! When we are emotionally and physically run down, our body forces us to take what we need. A sure sign to listen to our bodies and make sure we nourish physically and mentally and take rest!
The irony is that I haven’t had a drop of alcohol for almost 8 months! What started as a taking a break has turned into a big one. Perhaps my body is adjusting but I was less sick before the break … hehe at any rate. It’s a big deal!
As we navigate the first week of October, how are you doing? Really, how are YOU? Take a moment and write down your answer. Revisit it at this time next month and check in!

REIKI AND REST
It’s that time of year where the eves get darker, the studio gets candlelit and the infrared is on! I am excited to offer Reiki and Rest again at Saor Studio on Friday October 16 from 7:00 to 9:00pm. A small, intimate, 20 person eve, where long held Restorative Yoga poses are guided and I circle the room offering Reiki both as a group and to each individual. It is truly a lovely experience and I am honoured to guide it. Spots are filling up quickly. I would love to see you there. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to reach out!
